Day 6

Today has been difficult for a couple of reasons. Firstly, tiredness is kicking in big time, so I am making unforced errors as well as any tennis player. I am so tired I hurt.

Secondly, we have had a major issue with one of the photo servers, and this effectively meant three hours of no photos to prep. When we eventually were able to see the photos again it was on the old servers, and this made everything slow down dramatically. All tasks within the software we use to browse the photos were now twenty or thirty seconds longer, and keyword searches took an age.

Hence, all our work has been compressed into three hours less, and that means working even harder to make up ground and keep pace with the writers who by now were clamouring for images to support the articles they were writing.

Some of the games are running to five sets, making the likelihood of getting out of here at a reasonable time less likely. And that is a great shame, for a number of reasons. Still, we have a day off tomorrow which is exceptionally good news. It is now 19:28 on a Saturday evening, and I must prepare some more photos...
