An interim filler...

OK, I know I am supposed to be talking about behind the scenes preparation for the event, but there has been quite a bit to do on that score, and the time for considering a worthy post on that subject has been limited to say the least. I did manage to get out and take some random snaps yesterday so I thought I would post a few of them. I promise to divulge details of what we are doing later.

- The first is a shot of a drop of water ending its forty foot journey from a hanging basket.
- Next, a security guard in front of one of the electronic displays on Centre Court.
- Some of the steps that lead down from Murray Mound. The blue stripes will be repainted in the next couple of days.
- A close up shot of the point where net meets tape.

- A deliberately out of focus shot of the lights on one of the displays on Centre Court.
- Some flowers. The grounds are decked with all manner of them, more of which I will photograph over the next few days.
- A large warning painted on the wall in the corridor of ming. I will explain the 'ming' bit at some point.

- I just happened to be in front of this seat, honest. Looks as though someone has attempted to remove the number...
- The back of a small spider that I found on a table. Weirdly it has purple and green on its back! There is no purple in the vicinity of the table, so it is not a reflection. And no, it was not added in photoshop! There is a beetle that also can be found here around the grounds, and it displays a similar Wimbledon theme in its colours. Hopefully I will find it and bring back the evidence to show you.
- Two-Badge Burns, a colleague for whom I have the utmost respect. He has been a mentor, and good friend for many years, and is an extremely important piece in the Wimbledon jigsaw.
- The top of a net post. Shiny.

Right, work to do...
